The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 underwent renovations and reopened on the 27th. For the first time, it unveiled a “Digital Version” of the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion utilizing VR (Virtual Reality) technology and 3D modeling. This digital showcase allows for the online exhibition of 418 award-winning products, including mechanical products that were previously too large to be displayed within the physical space. Secretary-General Yeh Ming-Shui of TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) highlighted that in light of recent disruptions to international exhibitions due to the pandemic, the digital Taiwan Excellence Pavilion serves as an alternative means of promoting Taiwanese products.
TAITRA pointed out that the “Taiwan Excellence Pavilion” serves as a showcase for Taiwan’s industrial image, featuring the latest award-winning products from the Taiwan Excellence Awards each year. The reopening ceremony on the 27th, hosted by Secretary-General Yeh Ming-Shui, featured a live demonstration of innovative award-winning products by around 30 manufacturer representatives. These products included items like the “Reusable Color Pencil” and “Reusable Seven Odd Post-it Bricks” developed by Joyoung International Development, which allow children to learn shape and color concepts, improve hand-eye coordination, and stimulate imagination and creativity while using them. Additionally, the “WanMei Makeup” app developed by PlayMe provides precise simulation of hundreds of makeup styles, offering a lifelike virtual try-on experience.
