The 2023 “Taiwan Smart Agriculture Week” and “Taiwan International Marine and Fisheries Industry Exhibition” took place from August 31st to September 2nd at the Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, 1st floor. The event was organized by Tradewinds Exhibition Co., Ltd. Distinguished guests, including Mr. Du Wen-Zhen, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Changhua County Magistrate Ms. Wang Hui-Mei, and Mr. Lin Cong-Xian, Chairman of the Taiwan Livestock Research Institute, were invited to the opening ceremony.This year, under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the exhibition’s theme revolves around “Balancing Profit and Sustainability.” It highlights the uniqueness of “Smart Technology” and serves as the only global business and trade showcase platform that connects multiple agricultural industry chains, including agriculture, fisheries, livestock, and cold chains in Asia. It provides both domestic and international exhibitors with opportunities to find partners and gain international exposure, making it the best gateway to enter the Taiwan, Asia-Pacific, and global markets.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is the AB65 material and AB65 Hybrid copper alloy net, which offers excellent anti-biofouling effects. This innovative solution has not only garnered praise from local operators but can also be seamlessly integrated with other aquaculture equipment, making AB65 the new standard for aquaculture.

The exhibition features four main themes: the Taiwan International Agricultural and Horticultural Technology Exhibition, the Taiwan International Livestock and Poultry Technology Exhibition, the Taiwan International Agricultural Fresh Cold Chain Exhibition, and the Taiwan International Marine and Fisheries Industry Exhibition. There are a total of 303 exhibitors from 20 countries, showcasing over 2,000 products and technologies, drawing widespread attention.

The exhibition is complemented by the Bureau of Foreign Trade’s buyer program, attracting buyers and professionals from over 50 countries worldwide. This includes delegations from Vietnam’s agriculture, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia’s feed associations, South Korea, Malaysia, and Myanmar’s aquaculture-related associations, among others. Expert delegations from the National Cooperation Council and the Asian Taiwanese Business Association are also in attendance.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is the showcase of the Ministry of Agriculture’s smart agriculture research achievements, featuring the Smart Agriculture Technology Service Hall, Friendly Farming Achievements Display Hall, Agricultural Machinery Sharing Economy Hall, and AI Animal Health Industry Hall. Additionally, there are exhibits promoting innovative feed technologies for antibiotic-free aquaculture, a demonstration of smart green energy in Tainan, and displays by Changhua County Government. Furthermore, units such as the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), TaiLi, and Sun Fresh present various solutions from farm to table, including professional cold chain preservation, supply chain management, and smart low-carbon technologies to help businesses enhance the quality of fresh produce and seize new opportunities.
